Faculty Bodies

The faculty operates with seven bodies, each with specific responsibilities and competencies, outlined below.

The Senate is the highest professional body, consisting of nine members: seven higher education teachers and researchers, and two members of the MFDPŠ Student Council. The Dean of MFDPŠ is an ex-officio member of the Senate.

The MFDPŠ Academic Assembly consists of all higher education teachers, researchers, and associates involved in the educational and research process. Student representatives also participate, comprising one-fifth of the Assembly.
President of the Academic Assembly: doc. dr. Špelca Mežnar .
Vice President of the Academic Assembly: izr. prof. dr. Drago Dubrovski .
The MFDPŠ Board of Governors is the faculty’s management body and consists of five members: three representatives of the founder, a representative of the faculty’s academic staff, and a representative from the business sector or local community.
Chairwoman of the Board of Governors: ga. Katja Esih, univ. dipl. ekon.

The Dean of MFDPŠ is the executive and professional head of the faculty. Prof. Dr. Kristijan Breznik has been appointed as Dean of MFDPŠ for a four-year term, from June 15, 2024, to June 14, 2028.

The Director represents and manages MFDPŠ under the Dean’s authorization. Mag. Anja Lesjak , has been appointed Director for a four-year term from September 23, 2021, to September 22, 2025.

The MFDPŠ Student Council is the representative body for students, established by the Higher Education Act, the MFDPŠ Statute, and the Student Council Regulations. It consists of seven students representing undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The Student Council elects a president, vice president, two Senate members, one member of the Student Affairs Committee, one member of the Quality and Evaluation Committee, and student representatives for the Academic Assembly.
