The academic year is divided into three trimesters, during which students take 2 to 3 courses. Each trimester lasts 10 weeks, followed by an exam period. Before the end of the academic year, an additional exam period is available, allowing students to take exams.

Classes for the undergraduate program are held during the week, typically 3-4 times a week. Lectures take place in the afternoon from 4:30 PM onward, while practical sessions are usually scheduled in the morning, starting at 8:30 AM or 12:30 PM. Most classes are conducted on campus at the faculty in Celje, with some being held remotely via the ZOOM videoconferencing system.

A specific number of enrollment slots is allocated for each study program. If more candidates apply than there are available slots, enrollment is limited.

All of our study programs are publicly recognized and accredited, allowing for further education or work opportunities both domestically and internationally.

All programs offered as full-time studies are free of charge, regardless of age or employment status, in accordance with the provisions of the Higher Education Act, as the programs are granted concessions and are thus funded by the state. However, if you have already used up all opportunities for full-time studies as defined by the Higher Education Act, you will need to pay tuition fees for your studies.

Employment status, however, affects other rights and benefits associated with student status. For example, a person who is regularly employed is not entitled to subsidized meals, transportation, insurance, and other student benefits.

The results of the selection process for the first cycle will be published in July on the eVŠ online portal. Candidates will access the decision on the outcome of the selection process using their user account. After the results are published, the faculty will send you an email invitation to enroll in the program to which you have been accepted.

The conditions for enrollment in a higher year under transition criteria can be found in the current Admission Announcements. The application period for enrollment in a higher year (under transition criteria or conditions for accelerated progression) takes place annually at the beginning of September.

The candidate’s application for enrollment in a higher year (under transition criteria or conditions for accelerated progression), submitted via the eVŠ online portal, also counts as a request for the determination of an individual study plan.

The submitted application is reviewed by the Student Affairs Committee, which, during the recognition process, may recognize part of the student’s academic obligations and specify the requirements that the candidate must fulfill.
